Just in Assembly: Integrated Digital System for Programming, Planning, and Production Management in an ETO Industrial Environment

The JIA project aims to develop innovative lean manufacturing solutions for the digitalization of production processes. A prototype digital system will be created to integrate the processes of definition, programming, planning, and production management through:

• The definition of the physical and managerial structure of an Engineering To Order (ETO) plant, with a fundamental focus on synchronizing material flows with associated assembly activities;
• The support of an innovative order management software integrated with digital boards for visual management of workshop activities.

This project will improve production efficiency by ensuring all parts are completed on time and delivered to the correct final assembly point. It will reduce randomness and unpredictability in the performance of various plant departments and strengthen integration with the supply chain of raw materials, semi-finished, and semi-assembled components. These advancements may have significant positive impacts on sustainability throughout the entire supply chain.
